Our students have been exploring Economics and learning all about wants and needs—understanding that needs are essential for survival and well-being, while wants are things we desire but can live without.
To celebrate their learning, we’re excited to host our Annual Wants and Needs Event on October 31st!
We need your help to make it a success—please start sending in big bags of individually packaged treats or snacks to support our celebration.
More details will be coming soon, but mark your calendars for this fun and meaningful event celebrating our students’ hard work and learning!

Happy National Coffee Day! In the spirit of fun (and caffeine!), the PTO pulled together a spontaneous raffle to celebrate—and we kept it a surprise until now!
We also rolled out a little extra love with a treat trolley filled with Starbucks chilled coffee and Dunkin’ donut holes to sweeten the day for our amazing teachers and staff. 💛
A huge THANK YOU to 7 Brew Coffee (Markham Location) for sponsoring this special raffle. Because of their generosity, we were able to spread even more coffee joy across our Baker community.
Here are our lucky winners:
👩🏫 Teachers & Staff Winners (names were entered twice for those who joined PTO!):
Ms. Dodge – $10 Gift Card
Ms. Jackson – $10 Gift Card
Mrs. Whitten – $20 Gift Card
👨👩👧👦 PTO Parent/Guardian/Grandparent Winner:
Ashleigh Bishop – $10 Gift Card
Congratulations to our winners, and thank you again to EVERYONE for supporting the Bronco Bunch PTO. Whether it’s coffee, pizza, or special events, we love finding ways to celebrate our amazing Baker family.
Stay tuned for more surprises—we love keeping things fun around here. 😉☕️

We are proud to celebrate Chef Appreciation Week, a time to honor the chefs who bring passion, creativity, and care to every meal they prepare for our students. At PCSSD, we have a pair of chefs who transform food into celebration, comfort, connection, and community – Chartwells' Executive Chef King Joseph and Chef Sarah Montgomery, who prepare meals in our cafés & caterings for district staff; help train our kitchen staffs; conduct in-café programs with our students; and so much more. Thank you, Chef King & Chef Sarah, for all you do for the students of PCSSD!

Tomorrow, PCSSD students and staff—let’s turn the hallways into a runway of college and career readiness! Every shirt you wear tells your story of where you've been or where you want to be.

🚀 Our incredible volunteers gave over 10,000 hours of their time to students last school year, and they’re ready to level up for 2025-2026!
📚 Today, ladies from the UAPB Alumni Association kicked off a monthly Book Club with our third graders at College Station and Harris Elementaries. Kids also had a friend scavenger hunt where they had to get signatures from the other school's scholars.
