It’s that time of year when Ms. Ploszay, the Gifted and Talented Facilitator, will begin accepting referrals for possible placement into the Gifted program. If any families would like their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-grade child considered for testing, please email jploszay6104@pcssd.org to request a referral form.

Important: Students may not be assessed two years in a row, so please keep this in mind when submitting referrals.

All referral forms are due by December 19, 2025 for students to be tested this school year. Note: Testing does not ensure placement into the TREK GT program.

The Joe T. Robinson Senators are headed to the 5A Football State Championship. They will play at War Memorial Stadium at noon this Saturday. DELAYED START ❄ As we continue to monitor weather conditions, predictions indicate a high chance of early Tuesday morning temperatures below freezing, which increases the chances of icy roads and bridges. The safety of our students, teachers, and staff is always the first priority, so PCSSD will have a delayed start on Tuesday, December 2, for schools and district offices. Buses will run two hours later than their normal scheduled time. Tardies will not be counted for the day.

What an incredible day at Baker Elementary! Our Baker’s Grit & Fit wellness program was in full swing as students and staff teamed up with Coach Tyler Uptergrove and the Robinson High School football players. The weather was beautiful, the energy was high, and everyone was excited to learn, move, and grow together.

This day was extra special for us—Mrs. Hill was Coach Uptergrove’s 2nd-grade teacher, and I had the joy of being his school counselor. Seeing our former student return to pour into the next generation truly made the moment unforgettable. 💚💛

Baker Families,
We are so excited to host our students and families for our annual Family Day luncheon. The modified lunch schedule has been posted to the Baker website and the Baker Facebook page. Thanks to the benevolence of the Highland Valley United Methodist Church, we will have primary parking in their parking lot with a shuttle back and forth for your convenience.

There will be a bus to shuttle families in from Highland Valley United Methodist Church. Please park at the church and ride the shuttle over to Baker. *Neither the school nor the church can be held liable for any damages to your personal vehicle.*
