Ernest Green was the 1st African American & only one from Little Rock Nine to graduate from Central HS in 1957. He served the Asst. Secretary of Labor from 1977-1981. He was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1993. #blackhistorymonth #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Michael A. Conley was a track & field star who won 16 NCAA titles at the Univ. of Arkansas. He also won an Olympic gold medal in 1992 and silver medal in 1984. He was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1998. #blackhistorymonth #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

The Arkansas Down Syndrome Association (ADSA) received a donation from Briggs Equipment to provide sensory masks for more than 100 of our students across the district. 4th grade science students at BAKER ELEMENTARY used the scientific method to conduct an experiment about how quickly dye would disperse through different temperature waters. The students learned that the dye moves more quickly through hot water. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
