Sent On Behalf of Baker School Nurses: Baker Parents, We are in the midst of the cold and flu season. Students returning to school post-illness may require medications at school. If your child requires medication that is not currently held in the nurse's office, please be aware of the following PCSSD guidelines for medication administration at school. 1. All medications given at school require a current signed parent medication administration form (MAR). This can be filled out and signed when medication is brought by the parent to the school. 2. All medications, including inhalers, must have a prescription label attached or be in the original box with the prescription label attached. 3. As per ACT 1694 of 2005, which allows for students to carry emergency medications at school, including asthma inhalers and epinephrine autoinjectors, these students must have a written order from their physician to self-carry and approval from the school nurse. Please do not send any medications with students to be self-administered at school, with the exception of #3 above and the proper documentation in place. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Baker School nurses, at 501-234-3142. Thank you, Nurses Annette and Glenda
