
Baker Elementary students made this 22 ft. dragon for this year's Read for the Record. The story was Amy Wu and the Patchwork Dragon, a wonderful story celebrates family history and cultural symbols as a source of self-identity and affirmation.

After reading Crankenstein, Mrs. Garmon's class read a variety of books with characters that faced obstacles that caused them to experience all types of extreme emotions. The class discussed and responded with what makes them furious and shared a strategy that helps them calm down.
