AVID in Action: AP Chemistry students collaborated to calculate "Enthalpies of Reactions" to determine if the reaction was Endothermic or Exothermic. After verifying their answer, the students created a poster with an Energy Diagram and summary of the reaction and calculations.



Students in Mr. Sisk's AP English class discussed Thomas Hobbes' "Leviathan." Their guiding question was "Is it more important for the government to give you freedoms or protections? What freedoms are people willing to give up to be protected by the government?"

Ms. McPherson's students in Foundations of Healthcare, Principles of Sports Medicine, and Sports Medicine Injury Assessment are gaining hands-on experience in essential life-saving techniques.
They are learning to assess a scene for safety, form an initial impression of a patient, and use the “shout-tap-shout” sequence to check for responsiveness.
They are practicing CPR skills, including providing breaths and compressions as they prepare to earn certifications in adult and pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED.







We are excited to announce our 1st Semester Awards Assembly happening on Thursday, January 30th. All students on the Honor Roll & GPA Growth lists will be invited to attend at 10 am (11th and 12th grade) and 12:30pm (10th grade) in our Performing Arts Center. Ms. Runkle's 11th grade English students used the WICOR strategies writing and collaboration in their latest project. In small groups, students used analytical skills to discuss the real-world issue of cyber bullying derived from Hamlet.
